Head of Business Development

 

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to take on the role of Head of Business Development for ALCEA USA within ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions. The role will be overseeing the business development activities of the ALCEA business in the USA. This role involves managing the vertical sales team and customer service, and implementing strategic goals to drive sales growth and operational efficiency.

What would you do as a Head of Business Development

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overall business development of the ALCEA business in the USA
  • Manage vertical sales team and customer service operations
  • Implement strategic goals to accelerate sales growth, ensure EBIT levels and optimize efficiencies
  • Develop and execute of the growth plans to achieve organic growth targets
  • Drive sales growth through effective lead generation, negotiation, and closing of high-value deals.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales & business development activities and progress.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate closely with sales personnel and key customers to understand their operations, identify opportunities and develop mutually beneficial solutions
  • Involve actively in developing new key customers and expanding the distribution network
  • Create new Critical Infrastructure segments/accounts and develop existing ones on the regional and national level
  • Build and develop relationships with the key market influencers and interest groups
  • Monitor and follow actively market trends and opportunities to develop initiatives and formulate strategies
  • Drive recurring revenue growth

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • A proven track record of sales and business development within the Professional End User market and System Integrator/Access Control market, with ideally a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Previous experience of Critical Infrastructure verticals is desirable
  • Comprehensive understanding of value-selling technics and ROI models, to build up successful business cases, and ability to translate user information into a compelling investment decision, leading to closing of orders
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Experience of customer relationship management
  • Ability to develop and implement commercial strategies, meeting company goals and objectives
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills delivered with diplomatic and firm convictions
  • Self-motivated and with the ability to plan and organize a demanding work load efficiently and effectively
  • Competent with MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft CRM/Salesforce and ERP systems is desirable
  • Frequent travelling in the USA is required in this position.
